Indivisible Bodhicitta: a teaching on profundity and vastness

Om svasti
At the feet of the sublime guru, I bow!
Wholeheartedly engender within one’s mind-stream
love, compassion, and Bodhicitta
toward sentient beings limitless as space.
And with this Bodhicitta that has now arisen,
allow physical, verbal, and mental actions
to become inseparable with it.
Amazing and wondrous is this Dharma
in which one works towards complete awakening
so that sentient beings of all worlds without exception
may be happy and free from suffering.
This is known as great vastness.
Suchness itself, primordially birthless,
one’s own vajra mind, unconditioned,
is beyond the realm of speech, thought, concept, and expression.
The conceptual mind cannot fathom it.
This is thus known as deep profundity.
It is my request that you put into practice
this oral instruction on profundity and vastness.
As for the method on how to do this,
Just ask this profound and vast Dharma itself.
For any method that accords with this Dharma
is just right, no matter how it is done.
This precious gold powder of yours
I shall kindly take it to heart.
